For many children in Amboseli, getting to school means walking several kilometres through landscapes shared with elephants and other wildlife. These daily journeys during dawn and dusk expose them to unnecessary danger, discourage regular attendance and place additional stress on families.

Education should never come at the cost of a child’s safety.

The Secure School Commute initiative aims to provide safe, reliable transport so every child can reach school safely.

Funds raised in this campaign will help with vehicle procurement, fuel subsidization and operation of the dedicated school bus service that will transport children safely between their communities and schools.

By reducing the need for long walks through wildlife corridors, school going children’s lives will be protected.
